These days we get huge headlines with big, life-changing news about huge problems or famous power couples-- stories that are mostly apocryphal. For example, after Hurricane Harvey, there was a huge to-do because HEB ran out of gas at their gas stations. Everyone was terrified that the hurricane had knocked out the gas lines, and gas prices were through the roof. The news was up in arms about the gas shortage in the state, while in reality it was simply HEB getting more customers because of all the people who were forced to evacuate. That is only one of the examples. You can go looking through any magazine or newspaper and find some level of fanciful journalism.
